Brooklyn “Woo” Members indicted for Relief Fund

According to New York Post , Brooklyn “Woo” members indicted for a Covid relief fund. It was said that they swiped over 4 million in unemployment funds. They boasted about it in music videos , which feds used to connect them to the crime. There were 11 suspects in total which they submitted over 800 claims for more than $20 million.

They were able to secure $4.3 million from March 2020-October 2021. They used personal information, including driver’s license numbers to make fraudulent claims. The suspects showed off stacks of cash on Social media and referenced the scams in a song called “Trappin”.
